What’s more, Kansas is a perfect place to visit at any season. Come winter, spring, summer or fall, Kansas offers you a vacation filled with possibilities and beauty.

Want to know where to go in Kansas? Here are some of the places you should visit:

- Scott State Park: The National Geographic did not include this in the list of America’s must-see state parks for nothing. This unique park not only offers you nature’s wonders, it is also rich with history. This site with its rocky bluffs, natural springs and wooded canyons used to also be the home of the Taos Indians.
- Kansas Cosmophere and Space Center: Features a full-scale reproduction of a Northrup T-38, a Space Shuttle and a Blackbird spy plane.
- Old Cowtown Museum: Relieve life from 1865 to 1880 with this open-air living museum of history.
- Topeka Zoological Park: Features a Tropical Rain Forest, a Children’s Zoo, and a host of other attractions.
- Nicodemus National Historic Site: Features the last remaining African American western town built after the Civil War.
- Fort Larned National Historic Site: Get a glimpse of life at a military base built to withstand hostile Indians. The fort still has some of its original buildings intact – the barracks, officers quarters, commissary and other buildings show an excellent example o period forts.
- State Park: Bask in the sun, swim at the lakes and beaches, get close to wildlife in their natural habitat, or simply enjoy the outdoors at the many state parks in Kansas. Some examples are: Prairie Dog State Park, El Dorado State Park, Lovewell State Park, among others.

The American bison, as well as the tallgrass prairie, still call Kansas home. Kansas also boasts of a rich Native American legacy and some of the most interesting cowboy towns. As for sports, you can have a game of golf in one of the many fairways in the State, foremost of which is the Prairie Dunes Country Club. Meanwhile, the Kansas Speedway plays hosts some of the biggest events of NASCAR. Kansas is also paradise for outdoor enthusiasts – boaters, bikers, hikers, fishermen and outdoor lovers will surely get a kick out of the natural riches of the state.
